there’s awesome shows tonight (12.9)

Thursday (12.9) :

Grandchildren @ pianos (158 ludlow st, nyc) – a digitalized, pop-punk band from philadelphia pa (pictured above). they’re actually pretty rad, and should make for a fun show. And its $8… beautiful.

Via Audio @ Brooklyn Bowl (bk) – an experimental fairy-tale indie-pop band from Brooklyn. Brooklyn Bowl is 21+ and the shows $5.

forgetters w/ Shellshag @ The Rock Shop (bk) – so Blake Shwarzenbach from Jawbreaker AND Jets To Brazil formed a new band called the forgetters… Blake Shwarzenbach is enough to get me there alone. Shellshag is RAD, too! They’re lo-fi and fuzzy (yum). shows $10, and 8pm… this is my pick for the night.

Dub Proof @ Ella Lounge (nyc) – an awesome dub band (NOT DUBSTEP, fools) from Asbury Park, NJ (hell yes). It’s super dubalicious – the rasta god’s would be proud. 21+ 9pm.

Fergus & Geronimo @ The Cake Shop (152 Ludlow nyc) – They classify themselves as punk, but they also have an old school soulful sound. I’m listening to them now, and I’m diggin’ it. The show is actually a holiday party, with a Christmas DJ and drink specials! Soft Landing and I’m Turning Into will be playing as well.  21+ 8pm doors.

decisions, decisions, decisions…
